World War 2 with Adrian Warrell
On the 31st of October Adrian Warrell came and
visited our school. We liked it because it was fun and he had lots of activities
to share with us and real artefacts for us to hold and wear. Also it was about
World War 2 which was good as that is our topic at the moment.
When he came here in the morning he talked about how the
Germans invaded France and how the British and France got stuck on Dunkirk and
were saved by the Navy and lots of boats of all shapes and sizes.
He gave us hats and we roll played the Battle of France and
the battle of Britain. Some people wore real hats that were actually used in
World War 2. Pilot hats, Navy hats, Army
hats and hard metal hats which were handed out to re-enact these scenes.
After
lunch, we went in to the hall to take part in a rota of four activities. The activities
were practice rifle shooting, and playing with children’s toys that the
children made in the War with wood and stuff. We also tried on gas masks which
smelt really bad, and we did dressing up in World War 2 uniforms. After we
finished the activities we asked some great questions about World War 2.
We had a great day. Thank you Adrian!

Cooking
I like cooking because I like
getting messy. I’m good at making pizza and sweet things. E.g Cakes, cupcakes,
scones, chocolate eclairs and pancakes. Sometimes I cook and bake at home and
at school. At school I cook with Miss Gilbert and my dad at home. My favourite
thing to cook is pizza.

Dog training
Both of us train our dogs. Alfie C has a K9 (German shepherd
that was police trained) and Archie has an English bulldog but we both love
training them.
Alfie trains his German shepherd alone he usually has a hand
full of dog treats he asks his dog to do the thing he wants and then when the
dog does it he rewards her (the dog)
Archie trains his English bulldog normally at 8:00PM and he
gets a treat and tells it to sit, jump, give Archie his paw and snap at him.

Dogs
I like dogs because they are
cute when they are puppies. But when they are grown up they are vicious. The
worst thing for a dog is for them to die because you so many memories of
Him/Her. If you are a good owner of the dog it can survive a lot of years.

On the 9th of November Miss Adams came from
Stalham to teach us some science. She
started off with making actual fire how she did it was blowing some icing sugar
at two candles and made a whoosh of fire.
It was AMAZING! Next she showed us a miniature rocket that she made at
Stalham to put on the end of a pump it whoosh up in the air at amazing speed.
Next we made our own
rocket design and next week we are going to make and launch our rockets, I
can’t wait!
